Hemkund Gurudwara

Rishikesh, situated along the banks of the river Ganges is considered a holy town because of its association with holy River Ganga. It is also the point from where the actual traverse to Hemkunt begins.( a prominent religious site for the Sikh pilgrims)

Hemkund Sahib, located 256 km from Rishikesh, is devoted to Guru Gobind Singh (1666–1708), the tenth Sikh Guru, and is a prominent sight for the Sikh pilgrims. The pilgrims coming for Hemkund Sahib, makes there first halt at this beautiful Gurudwara that is situated in RIshikesh.

Located near a busting market place, the Gurudwara complex covers a large territory. The darbar hall in the Gurudwara resounds with the voices of the granthi and the pilgrims reciting their prayers and offers a very spiritual experience.
